Let the blogging begin!

What mommy has time for a nap when there is much to share, such as my thoughts, feelings, ideas, stories, experiences, and all things associated with the stay-at-home-mom career (including, but not limited to parenting, crafting, cooking, cleaning, organizing, entertaining, maintaining personal sanity, beauty, hygiene, and spirituality, as well as a harmonious household). Phew! That's a lot to talk about.
...
No Nap for Mommy is my attempt to combat feelings of loneliness as I continue adjusting to the stay-at-home-mom lifestyle. I’m not the type of person to nap during the day. I may be tired, but I just CAN’T give into the sleepiness. I just can’t, even on days when it seems so appealing. I tend to have too much running through my mind... hence the buzzing bee in my blog title. I may not be very productive (was my middle name before motherhood), but I sure think about A LOT of things. Some important, some not. I realized I do ‘The List’ just like Sarah Jessica Parker’s character in “I Don’t Know How She Does It”. But since I’m still getting the hang of being a mom and a homemaker all at the same time... I often find I forget the list I made. And even if I write it down, I forget where I put it. I’m surprised this is my life... me! Miss organized, Miss Organizer, Miss Planner, Miss Prepared. Well, I used to be and still can be at random moments!
As I said before, this is an attempt to share myself with you. Particularly the moments of the day when I think no one is available and just want to jabber on about an idea, thought or feeling I have just had. Sometimes I just want to share my stories and experiences with someone who truly wants to listen. This kind of takes out the embarrassment of being lame or boring! You can read my post and I never have to know the real feedback. Feel free to share constructively though!!
I really do hope I can keep up with this project. I can see it as a window into my life for those friends and family who are not so close by. Through this venue my inner monologue can become a dialogue. My personal ideas and projects can prompt discussions. I can share my struggles and triumphs with you regularly. I hope through the experience of blogging here, you will feel connected to me and my family no matter where we are or how often we talk on the phone or email or Facebook.
Feel free to share your thoughts on this endeavor. Discussion is encouraged. Encouragement is greatly appreciated!
